Summary: Liz becomes something she never thought possible and falls in love with the last person she ever expected. What will she do to protect her new life when demons from her past resurface?

Part 1

(Lizs voice over: Its been a long time since I have written in a journal and alot has happend. I used to be normal, just human, but not anymore since Max healed me I got powers just like Ava said I would. I can do all the things the four of them can do plus my own individual power, astral projection. But that's not all you see I'm a vampire slayer. I know this sounds crazy but see my cousin was Buffy Summers I used to visit her alot when she lived in Los Angeles but ever since she and Joyce moved to Sunnydale I handn't been able to visit her as much but we talked on the phone every chance we had. I was sad when Aunt Joyce died and then when Buffy died I was devastated. The night she had died I felt this jolt of energy and I didn't know what it was until Buffys funeral, where I ran into Giles, Willow, Xander, Anya, Tara, and Dawn. They told me how I was a slayer after they found out about my dreams I had started having filled with demons, vampires, and blood. I was shocked at first I mean aliens were one thing but demons and vampires were a whole different thing. Not long after I got used to the idea of it all, Giles even said I was doing better than Buffy ever did and that he was proud of me, making me smile. Since I had nothing left in Roswell after the pod squad along with Maria left to Antar leaving behind me and Kyle all alone, I told Kyle about the whole slayer thing and we both went with the Scooby Gang back to Sunnydale. Also in case your wondering we did tell the Scooby Gang about the aliens and how they left before me and Kyle could tell them about Tess killin Alex. They promised us that if Max and the others ever came back to Earth they would kick their asses for treating us the way they did. I couldn't believe Maria had left with them, she was supposed to be her best friend. I sigh and shake my head clearing my mind from those painful thoughts. I've tried so hard to get past all of whats happend. Faith who was released from jail and was now on parol helpled me deal with it the best way she knew how. Which was beating the shit out of any vampires in your sights until you started to feel better. I'm pulled from my thoughts as Faith walks in)

Faith: Hey are you ready to patrol? (she asks anxiously wanting to kill some vamps)

Liz:(smiles) Yea (she closes her journal and follows Faith out of the room)

Part 2

(Cemetery)

(Liz punched the demon as he came at her and then kicked him in the face as he fell to his knees, staking him as he hit the ground. Liz stood up and wiped the dust off of her black tank top).

Liz:(smiled) That was easy.

Faith:(staked hers and then walked over to Liz) Yea I know what you mean. I could really use a challenge. (And as soon as those words left her mouth they heard a woman scream)

Liz:(gave her a look) You shouldn’t have said that. (They took off running towards the scream and when they arrived they saw a girl being thrown against the building by a vampire and a guy next to her bleeding from a gash on his head. As the vampire walked closer to them Liz ran and tackled him from behind and before he knew what hit him she staked him. Liz stood up and looked at the guy and girl who were looking at her shocked and as they walked into the light she couldn’t help but be shocked at the two people standing in front of her)

Liz: Ava. Rath. (She couldn’t help but stare at them)

Ava: Liz (she said shocked)

Faith: Who are they? (She asked looking at Liz)

Liz:(tore her gaze away from them) Um..I mentioned them Ava and Rath. I met them in Roswell they were part of the other four square from New York.

Faith:(nodded and then looked at Rath) Wasn’t he evil?

Liz:(looks at them) Yea.

Ava:(looked at Faith surprised) She knows.

Liz:(nodded) Yea.

Ava:(nodded) Why don’t we talk someplace else. You can tell us what the hell that guy was and I’ll explain about Rath but he’s ok.

Liz:(knowing that if Ava said that then it must be true) Ok. Come on. Oh this is Faith.

Faith:(as they start walking towards their house) Hey

Ava:(smiled) Hi.

Rath:(nodded) What’s up?

(A couple of minutes later they walked up to a house)

Ava: You live here?

Liz:(nodded) We both do. (As they walk in they are greeted by Willow)

Willow:(smiled) Hey you guys are back already? (She looked at Ava and Rath) Who are they?

Liz: Willow this is Ava and Rath. Guys this is Willow, she’s a friend of ours.

Willow:(nodded as she remembered who they were) Ava and Rath from New York.

Ava:(looks at Liz with her eyebrow raised) Does everyone know?

Liz:(rolled her eyes) No. But a couple of people do. (She looked at Willow) Where’s Kyle?

Willow: Upstairs. I’ll go get him. (Liz nodded her thanks)

Liz:(walked into the living room) Go ahead and get comfortable this might take a while. (Ava and Rath sat down on the couch across from Liz and Faith who were sitting in the chairs. Before any of them could say anything more Kyle walked in)

Kyle:(looked at them and then at Liz) What are they doing here?

Rath:(sarcastically) Nice to see you too. (Kyle just glares at him)

Liz:(before they get into it) Kyle sit down we were just about talk about it. They were attacked by a vampire. (She looked at their shocked looks) Ok so I guess I’ll start with Yea vampires and demons are real. See into every generation a slayer is born one girl in all the world, a chosen one, one born with the strength and skill to hunt the vampires, to stop the spread of evil and the forces of darkness. She’s the slayer. Me and Faith are slayers. There is originally supposed to be one but it started when my cousin Buffy became the slayer, she had fought this powerful vampire called the Master and she had drowned. See even though she had only died for a minute when her friend Xander revived her it was still long enough for another slayer to be called, her name was Kendra but she died a little later and Faith was called. This was the first time ever that two slayers existed at the same time. Last year Buffy died and I was called. After I found out what I was I told Kyle and we came to Sunnydale to live here where Buffy used to live. Four other people live here, my watcher Giles, he’s the one who trains us, Willow she was Buffy’s best friend and a very powerful wiccan, Tara, her girlfriend and also a witch, and Dawn my cousin and Buffy’s sister. There’s also Anya and ex-vengeance demon and her boyfriend Xander he was Buffy’s friend also. They all know about the aliens and everything. We told them because me and Kyle developed powers just like you said we would. (She paused and waited for their reactions)

Ava:(shocked) wow.

Rath:(nodded) Yea.

Kyle: So what about you guys? (He said curiously)

Ava:(getting over her shock she clears her throat) It turned out Lonnie was mindewarping Rath into doing everything he did. I found out when he broke out of the mindewarp and came looking for me. Lonnie tried to kill us but we killed her before she could. (She said looking down, even though Lonnie was evil it still pained her to kill to someone she had been close too before).

Liz:(as she sees Ava’s sad expression) I’m sorry.

Ava:(nodded and then trying to change the subject asked) What about the others? I haven’t heard you mention Max or the others?

Liz:(looked down) They’re not here. They went to Antar.

Ava:(shocked) They left. Why?

Liz:(took a deep breath, knowing this was going to be hard for her) Not long after you left Alex.. He umm he died. (She held back the tears in her eyes, even after all this time it was still hard to talk about him)

Kyle:(took over for her knowing how hard it was for her to talk about Alex) Everyone thought it was an accident and then suicide, but not Liz she was convinced he was killed but they didn’t believed her not even Maria..(He looked down) to be honest I didn’t want to believe it either. (He took a deep breath) She kept looking even though Max and Maria were treating her like shit to even say that Alex could’ve been murdered, and then his royal high ass turned to Tess and got her pregnant. (Ava looked at them shocked) Tess said that her baby couldn’t survive Earth’s atmosphere, so when Liz was looking for what happened to Alex she found out he had never gone to Sweden like everyone had thought but had been in Las Cruses translating the destiny book.

Liz:(cleared her throat, deciding to take over) I gave them the translation and it told them how to get home. So since Tess’s baby couldn’t survive the atmosphere they decided to leave and Maria decided to go with them since she didn’t want to be without Micheal. Well right when they were leaving we found out that Tess had been the one to kill Alex, Kyle had seen it all but Tess had mindewarped him to forget and to help him carry Alex’s body out. It must have been since Tess’s powers were getting weak that the mindewarp was wearing off. So we hurried to tell them but they had already left. (After a moment she stood up) I need some air. (She walked out leaving all of them to their thoughts).
