Part 1

(Liz watched the scenery out the window of the bus she was in, they had just entered New York City. She had to admit a part of her was a little nervous, she had never been to New York before; well except for that whole astral projection thing last year, and now here she was about to start a whole new life. Liz smiled as she thought of her cousin Blair, she hadn’t seen her since they were kids but she remembered that she was really nice, sure she did have her way of getting both of them in trouble but Liz couldn’t’ help but think that this time it wouldn’t be Blair getting them into trouble)

(Bus Stop)

(Blair stood there along with Serena at the bus stop waiting for Lizs bus to arrive)

Serena:(looked at Blair) So what’s your cousin like?

Blair:(smiled) She’s nice, we used to get into so much trouble when we were small. (She said as the memories flashed in her mind)

Serena:(smiled at Blair’s expression) So she’s like you?

Blair:(shook her head) No, I was the one who always got us into trouble, Liz is more the follow the rules type of girl.

Serena:(shook her head) I don’t know Blair, you did say it’s been a long time since you’ve seen her.

Blair:(rolled her eyes) Please like she could have changed that much.

Serena:(smiled) Well we’re about to find out. (She said as she motioned to the Bus that was slowing down in front of them. They watched as the bus stopped and the door opened) So what does she look like?

Blair:(as she looked for Liz) She’s brunette like me. There she is. (She said excitedly as she saw Liz walk off the bus) Liz!

Liz:(looked at Blair and smiled) Blair! (She made her way over to her and they hugged)

Blair:(once they pulled back) Liz this is my best friend Serena Van Der Woodsen, Serena this is Liz.

Serena:(smiled and waved) Hi

Liz:(smiled and waved back) Hey

Blair:(excited) Now come on let’s get you to the house. (Liz, Serena, and Blair are walking in the direction of Blairs home; not noticing a girl across the street taking a picture of them)

Looks like Queen B has a new friend in town, and you know how it goes with newcomers. There’s so many secrets waiting to be revealed.

Part 2

(Liz was sitting there listening to Blair and Serena talk about the guys in their life, Blair was talking about some guy named Nate who she had just recently broken up with, and Serena was talking about Dan who she was in love with)

Blair:(looked at Liz) So what about you Liz? Did you love someone back in Roswell?

Liz:(after a moment she nodded) Yea he’s kind of why I left in the first place.

Blair:(curiously) What happened?

Liz:(sighed) We were dating on and off for a couple of months and just when we were getting serious his ex came back into town. He kept telling me he didn’t have any feelings for her and then I see the two of them kissing, we broke up shortly after that. And we were on our way to get back together but then some things happened including one of my friends dying and I expected him to be there for me but instead he treated me like shit and then ended up getting her pregnant, she left town and he’s been looking for her and his son since. Right before I left I lost it and told him that all he ever did was hurt me and that I couldn’t forget about him sleeping with her.

Serena:(shocked) Wow.

Liz:(nodded) Yea. (She looked at Blair who was just staring at her) Blair?

Blair:(softly) Who died?

Liz:(looked down not wanting them to see as her eyes filled with tears, even now it was hard to talk about) Alex.

Blair:(stood up with an upset expression) Why didn’t you tell me?

Serena:(surprised to see Blair so upset) Blair?

Blair:(ignored Serena) He was your best friend Liz you didn’t think to call me and tell me that he was dead.

Liz:(stood up just as upset, she didn’t think Blair had the right to be mad at her) Why would I? I barely hear from you, I didn’t even know you were going out with Nate. I heard it from my mom that your dad and mom had divorced. You never told me and I knew how much he meant to you. I tried to call you too but I could never get a hold of you. Your mom told me you had a new number and everything.

Serena:(trying to calm them down when she noticed that Chuck and Nate had walked in and stopped as they watched Liz and Blair argue) Guys come on stop fighting.

Blair:(glanced at Serena and then back at Liz) You still should have told me. (she said softly)

Liz:(ran her hands through her hair) Yea well I didn’t think you would care. (she shook her hand and said) I’m going to get some fresh air. (And turned around, only sparing Chuck and Nate a glance as she walked out)

Serena:(crossed her arms) A little harsh B Don’t you think?

Blair:(sighs) I know, I didn’t mean to…. (She trailed off as she saw the guys) What are you guys doing here?

Nate:(concerned) We came to talk to you. Is everything ok? Who was that?

Blair: Yea, that was my cousin Liz, she going to be here for the summer. (She said looking towards the direction Liz left)

Chuck:(smirked) What a way to start the summer. You always do know how to make people feel welcomed Blair.

Blair:(glared at him) Shut up Chuck.

Nate:(couldn’t help but give a small laugh) Wow you guys already sound like a couple.

Blair:(shocked) What? (She looked at Chuck who didn’t seem fazed by what Nate said) What did you tell him? (She said accusingly to Chuck)

Chuck:(put his hands up in the air) I didn’t tell him anything. He figured it out all on his own. (He said with a smirk)

Blair:(shocked and looked at Nate) Nate- (Nate holds his hand up cutting her off)

Nate:(shook his head) It’s ok Blair, that’s kind of why I came. Just to tell you that I know and I’m ok with it. (Before she could respond he looked at Serena and Chuck) I’ll talk to you guys later. (And with that he turned and walked out, leaving a stunned Blair)

(Outside)

(Liz was standing outside, trying to calm down. She couldn’t believe that Blair was mad at her for not telling her about Alex, when she hadn’t even attempted to tell her about everything that had happened with her. She was so distracted that she didn’t even notice Nate walk up behind her, just in time to hear her muttering about Blair under her breath)

Nate:(with a small smile) You know if someone didn’t know who Blair was they would just think you were crazy. (Liz spun around to see Nate standing there and her cheeks flamed red with embarrassment)

Liz:(looked down embarrassed) Sorry. I didn’t know you were there.

Nate:(nodded) Yea I could tell.

Liz:(gave him a small smile) Blair’s a nice girl really. (She said knowing that Blair still had feelings for him and didn’t want to give him any bad thoughts about her)

Nate:(couldn’t help but laugh at what she said) It’s ok. Me and Blair aren’t going to be getting back together. She wants to be with Chuck, even if she doesn’t realize it yet.

Liz:(surprised) Chuck really? She didn’t have one good thing to say about him. (After a moment realization hit her) She’s in love with him isn’t she?

Nate:(surprised) How could you tell?

Liz:(grinned) Only the person that she’s in love with could get on her nerves so much. (She said causing Nate to laugh and agree)

Nate:(nodded) That’s true. (He held out his hand) I’m Nate.

Liz:(smiled and shook his hand) Liz.

Nate:(as he pulled his hand away) I’m going to get something to eat, do you want to join me? (He enjoyed talking to her and didn’t want to stop)

Liz:(after a moment, she gave him an apologetic smile) Maybe some other time, I should really get back up there before Blair comes looking for me.

Nate:(nods understandingly) Then I’ll see you later?

Liz:(nodded) Yea. (She said and then turned around and walked away, only stopping to look back at Nate and give him a small wave before she walked inside)

Well Well it looks like Nate is finally after someone other than Blair. It can’t be good for the new girl when Queen B finds out.
