Prologue

(Roswell)

(Liz is sitting on her balcony looking up at the stars with tears in her eyes, she had never felt so helpless then she had recently. Here she was supposed to be this powerful witch, a Charmed One; but she couldn’t even save Alex. Her best friend was dead and there was nothing she could do to change it, even after trying multiple spells to bring him back or even to see him, she still couldn’t. None of her spells had worked; Prue, Piper, and Phoebe tried to help her also but they didn’t get anywhere. Liz took a shaky breath trying not to cry, she didn’t think she would be able to stop if she started. She knew she should be grieving just like the others were, but how could she grieve when she still didn’t know how her best friend had died. Sure everyone thought it was a car accident but Liz knew in her heart that something wasn’t right about it. She knew she wasn’t crazy, her sisters told her that even they saw something wrong with it and they didn’t even know Alex. Liz shook her head, she hadn’t told anyone her secret; about her being a witch. She had recently planned on telling Alex, Maria, and Kyle but the chance to tell Alex was ripped away from her and now if anyone, the only person she planned on telling was Kyle. After showing Maria the picture of Alex and Leanna that she had found at the wreck, she knew that Maria wouldn’t be able to handle her secret, not now. Liz took a deep breath as she stood up and made her way down the edge of her balcony; on her way to talk to Kyle, to tell him everything. About her being a witch, how her father had slept with a women before he met Nancy and had her, how even though her mother; Penny had wanted Liz to live with her and her sisters she had let her stay with Jeff, and now she fought demons on a daily basis with her three sister; making the four Charmed Ones).
